Muscat, Oman; [11th June, 2025] – Mandarin Oriental, Muscat is delighted to celebrate its first anniversary, marking a year of refined elegance, heartfelt hospitality and immersive experiences. Since opening on 3 June, 2024 in the heart of Shatti Al Qurum, the hotel has enchanted guests with its tasteful design, exquisite dining concepts, world-class Spa and legendary service that reflects the country’s authentic charm and rich traditions.

To mark the milestone, the hotel will partner with Amouage, the Omani High Perfumery House, to create a signature Cloud Cake, available exclusively at The Mandarin Cakeshop for a limited time only.

The Cloud Cake is inspired by Purpose Eau de Parfum, a unique earthy fragrance with notes of Frankincense, Bergamot, Rose, Saffron and Sand Vetiver. It is often referred to as the Scent of Muscat and it is one of the House’s most-loved fragrances. The dessert evokes an array of sensations; where the depth of frankincense meets the sweetness of mango, the tanginess of passionfruit, and the creamy smoothness of coconut, all resting on a crisp biscuit base. Paired with a miniature of Amouage’s Purpose Eau de Parfum, guests are left with a lasting impression that lingers long after.  There is also the option to complement the Cloud Cake with a special mocktail blend infused with notes of saffron, spices and dried black lemon. This limited-edition dessert is available with only 25 pieces offered per day throughout June, priced at OMR 25.

This unique collaboration is the latest chapter in the union of the two brands, which began during the hotel’s debut in June last year. A bespoke collection of amenities with an eclusive scent called Anchorage is available in selected Signature Suites and the Bridal Suite, offering a sensory escape into an olfactive world of sophistication and elegance. The Cloud Cake represents a sublime evolution of the partnership, creating a truly unique experience for in-house and visiting guests.
